The 80's - The Third Generation: After some extensive testing on latex rubber cords a series of extreme jumps were made, first in Tignes, France from a ski area gondola 91 metres above the snow. Then, the world's first commercial Bungy operation opened up. Click here for full story

Today - The 00’s With 'The Ledge Urban Bungy' proving so popular, AJ Hackett Bungy added another dimension to the site with the advent of 'The Ledge Urban Swing'. From its opening in October 2000, this innovative new 'swing' product had people sailing 400 metres over Queenstown. In April 2003 AJ Hackett Bungy arrived in the North Island where its newest Bungy site was launched off the Auckland Harbour Bridge - a 4-year project which added a new dimension to adventure tourism.
